This is just a fast guide line I did up real fast
To explain some of my horses I own.
What their genes are DNA wise goes.
I hope it helps out a little bit to
Understand some of the genes are.
**********************************************
Your basic coat colors are
Chestnut - Sorrel (ee) Horses.
Bay - Brown - Black (Ee Or EE) horses.
They are controlled by the interaction
Between two genes: Extension (E) and Agouti (A).
The E gene (Red Factor) controls
The production of red and black pigment.
Agouti controls the distribution of black pigment
Either to their point pattern of their Mane,
Tail, lower legs, ear rims or uniformly over the body.
The dominant allele E produces black pigment in the coat.
The recessive allele e produces red pigment.
So on that Note. You Can Go To Each Page
